Vanilla Dream Protein Shake

This low-calorie shake is for the vanilla lovers and is a great way to get some protein!

Ingredients

180 ml almond milk unsweetened
120 g plain or vanilla non-fat Greek yogurt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
9 ice cubes
1 tsp stevia (or sweetener of your choice)

Directions

Add ingredients to FourSide or WildSide+ jar in order listed and secure lid.

Blend on “Smoothie” cycle or blend on a Medium speed for 50-60 seconds.

Vegan Berry Smoothie

Try this delicious vegan smoothie using almond pulp.

Ingredients

180 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
120 g raspberries
110 g blackberries
4 strawberries
½ apple cored and halved
6 ice cubes
110 g almond pulp

Directions

Add all ingredients to FourSide or WildSide+ jar and secure lid.

Select “Smoothies” function and enjoy.

Vegan Apple Pancakes

This hearty and healthy vegan pancake is full of whole grains.

Ingredients

625 ml water
75 g raw almonds
1 medium apple quartered and cored
1 tbsp flaxseeds
250 g whole wheat flour
1.50 tbsp baking powder
1.50 tbsp kosher or sea salt
½ tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

Add water, almonds and apple to WildSide+ jar and secure lid. Select “Whole Juice” cycle or blend on a Medium to Medium-High speed for 50-60 seconds.

Add remaining ingredients to the jar and secure lid. Select “Batters” cycle or blend on a Medium to Medium-Low speed for 30 seconds.

Allow batter to rest 5 minutes.

Heat griddle or other pan over medium to medium high heat and grease.

Pour approximately ¼ cup batter onto heated pan and cook approximately 1 minute or until bubbles break the surface of the pancake and the underside is golden brown.

Flip and cook for approximately 30 seconds. Repeat with remaining batter.

Serve immediately or keep warm in the oven at 90˚C loosely wrapped in foil.

**To make this recipe in the FourSide jar, decrease measurements by one third.

Vegan Cheese Ball

A vegan spin on a party favourite, this non-cheese ball will leave your guests wanting more!

Ingredients

40 g dry roasted almonds
225 g raw cashews soaked for at least 2 hours
¾ tsp kosher or sea salt
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1.50 tbsp fresh lemon juice
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp fresh parsley

Directions

Add almonds to Twister jar and secure Gripper lid. Press “Pulse” 5-7 times. Dump onto flat surface.

Add cashews to jar and place Twister lid on top of jar. Blend on a high speed for 40 seconds. Turn Twister lid counter-clockwise during blending.

Add remaining ingredients to jar and blend on a high speed until all ingredients are incorporated.

Dump mixture over chopped almonds and form a ball. Coat surface of ball with chopped almonds.

Chill for at least 2 hours. Let vegan cheese ball sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.

Serve with your favourite veggies or vegan crackers.

Amazing Vegan Cheese Sauce

The taste and texture of this you-won’t-believe-it’s-not-cheese sauce is incredible. It’s perfect for a vegan mac & cheese (and will fool the non-vegans who want to eat a bit healthier). It’s also delicious poured over vegetables. Plus, you probably already have these ingredients on hand!

Ingredients

260 g potato peeled & cubed
130 g carrots chopped
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp soy sauce
¾ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp sea salt
3 tbsp olive oil

Directions

Put the potatoes and carrots in a saucepan and cover with water.

Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender. Most potatoes will be done in 10-20 minutes. (If you’re making mac & cheese, cook your pasta at the same time!)

Drain potatoes and carrots or lift with a slotted spoon and add to FourSide or WildSide+ jar, add remaining ingredients and secure lid.

Blend on “Dips” cycle or on a Medium speed for 25 seconds.

Serve immediately.

Walnut-Parsley Pesto

This twist on the traditional pesto with parsley and a light touch of lemon is a delicious topping for pasta or pizza and adds extra pizzazz to rice, quinoa, and potatoes.

Ingredients

70 ml olive oil
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
3.50 pieces lemon zest
50 g grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp kosher salt
60 g leaf parsley
50 toasted walnuts

Directions

Add oil, lemon juice, and parsley to FourSide jar, and push parsley into oil. Secure lid and press “Pulse” 6–8 times or until parsley is roughly chopped.

Add remaining ingredients and secure lid. Pulse 6–8 times or until desired texture is reached.

White Bean Hummus

Trade out those chickpeas for white beans! This spin on traditional hummus is perfect as a dip or spread on sandwiches or wraps.

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp tahini
2 cloves garlic
½ tsp salt
1 can northern white beans drained (440ml)
½ tsp ground cumin
2 drops Tabasco sauce

Directions

Add all ingredients to jar in order listed and secure lid.

Blend on “Sauce” cycle or on a Medium to Medium-Low speed for 25 seconds.

Cinnamon Spice Mocha

Wake up with this chilled sweet coffee.

Ingredients

650 ml brewed coffee
125 ml fat-free milk
20 g chocolate syrup
12 g brown sugar packed
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground allspice
12 ice cubes

Directions

Add ingredients to FourSide or WildSide+ jar in order listed and secure lid.

Select “Batters” or blend on a Medium-Low speed for 30 seconds.

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

This rich frosting can be made in less than a minute and is perfect atop our Apple Pie Cupcakes.

Ingredients

55 g butter softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
500 g powdered sugar
115 g Neufchâtel or cream cheese

Directions

Add Neufchâtel cheese, butter, vanilla and cinnamon to FourSide or WildSide+ jar and secure lid.

Blend on a Low speed for 10 seconds.

Add 1 cup of powdered sugar and blend on Low for 10-15 seconds.

Scrape jar with rubber scraper and repeat with remaining powdered sugar.

Spread immediately on cupcakes or chill for at least 1 hour and put in piping bag and pipe frosting onto cupcakes.

Lemon Blueberry Energy Bites

These lemon-infused snacks are sweetened with dates and are mighty refreshing.

Ingredients

200 g raw cashews unsalted
3 Medjool dates
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
½ lemon’s zest
2 tbsp dried blueberries

Directions

Directions for use with Twister Jar

Add half of cashews, then the dates and then the rest of the cashews to the Twister jar.

“Pulse” 10-15 times. Turn Twister lid counter-clockwise during blending.

Add vanilla, lemon juice, lemon zest and dried blueberries to mixture.

“Pulse” 8-10 times. Turn Twister lid counter-clockwise during blending.

Shape into 1″ balls and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Directions for use with FourSide or WildSide+ Jar

Add half of cashews, vanilla, lemon juice and zest and secure lid.

“Pulse” 6-8 times then scrape sides of jar back down to the blade.

Add dates and secure lid.*

*Dates blend best in the Twister jar. To make this step easier you can also use date paste rather than raw dates.

“Pulse” 2-3 times, scrape sides of jar back down to blade.

Add the remaining cashews and secure lid.

“Pulse” 4 times, scrape sides of jar back down to blade.

“Pulse” 4 more times, scrape sides of jar back down to blade.

Add blueberries and secure lid.

“Pulse” 3-5 times.

Shape into 1″ balls and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
