Repair Policy

We like to keep our repair policy straight forward as we follow a very customer-centric approach to repairs.  We only have a few rules & fees if these get breached, so please review these carefully.  All prices shown include VAT.  If in doubt, please call and we’ll do our very best to help you out.

  1. Soilage Charge
    1. Within warranty:
      1. If deemed necessary, with your approval, we can undertake a non-refundable deep clean service prior to a warranty repair.  This ranges from £20-£40 depending on extent of soilage.
      2. While very rare, we can void the warranty based on the lack of cleanliness of the unit as it reflects use that does not meet our definition of ‘typical household use’.  An out of warranty repair may be offered.  If you wish not to go ahead with an out of warranty repair, an admin fee of £25 is due + £20 shipping costs.  Alternatively, we can dispose of the unit and no fee will be due.
    2. Out of warranty
      1. We may reject to perform a paid out of warranty repair if the unit requires a deep clean.  In this case, only the £20 shipping costs are due and the unit would be returned to you.  Alternatively, we can dispose of the unit and no fee will be due.
      2. With your approval, we can provide a non-refundable deep clean service prior to repair.  This ranges from £20-£40 depending on extent of soilage.
    3. 100 % of the soilage charges will go towards our charitable fund that supports thing such as food banks or children that require tube-feed in low income households.
  2. Using Household units commercially
    1. All Blendtec blenders record details such as how often a unit has been used.  We request the cycle count in the form to avoid any shipping of units we already know void the warranty.  If the unit arrives and the cycle count provided turns out to be incorrect and shows commercial use, then there is a £30 admin fee + £20 shipping cost due. Where an electronics failure does not allow you/us to read the cycle count from the display, we are required to extract this information prior to repair. If we identify commercial use through this, an admin fee of £45 is due + £20 shipping costs.  Alternatively, we can dispose of the unit and no fee will be due.
    2. This also applies to private individuals who purchased a second hand Blendtec blender that was previously used commercially.
  3. Moving abroad
    1. Using your UK/Irish unit abroad voids the warranty. Customers that moved between the UK & Ireland or vice versa are excluded from this rule and will continue to be covered by the warranty.  If you live further afield, we will honour the warranty if we were informed of this prior to purchase.  We may still offer a free repair in certain circumstances.
  4. Moving to the UK/Ireland from abroad
    1. Using a 230V unit purchased abroad voids the warranty.  We may make exceptions to this case depending on where the unit is from – we would communicate with the distributor in the territory the unit is from.  We have bilateral agreements with some territories.  An out of warranty repair should always be possible.
    2. Using a 110V unit in the UK/Ireland voids the warranty.  No repair is possible.  110V and 230V networks are completely incompatible. The unit might work only a few minutes, or a few years depending on the components used, the stress the unit is put under and the electrics in your own household.  If we receive a 110V unit for a domestic warranty case, there is a £25 admin fee due + £20 shipping.  Alternatively, we can dispose of the unit and no fee will be due.
  5. Fraudulent Service attempts
    1. If we believe a fraudulent attempt was made to get warranty service / replacement products, we will void the warranty and will inform the authorities if wee see fit.
